Buffalo National River U.S. National Park
We're right in the middle of the Middle Section of the Buffalo National River area. Many local canoe rentals are 5 to 10 minutes away along with Tyler Bend Recreation Area which houses the National Park Service Visitor Center and many access points to public hiking/biking trails.
Other Arkansas family getaway destinations along the Upper, Middle, and Lower sections of America's first national river are just a short drive from your cabin. Nearby places to visit include the abandoned mines and ghost-town of Rush, Buffalo Point canoe launch and picnic area, and elk-watching along the Buffalo River corridor. Nostalgic 60's DRIVE-IN MOVIE Theatre
Kenda Drive In -- One of only two old fashioned, year-round drive-in movies in the state of Arkansas. Movies change weekly. Check with them for what is showing and the show dates. This has a state of the art projection system and now their old-timey audio boxes have been equipped with Blue Tooth. Admission and food is reasonable for a family outing! Bring your quilt, lawn chairs and come enjoy the festive atmosphere.

St. Joe Depot Historical Museum
(MO & North AR Railroad Depot Museum)
The museum is housed in the old depot. It is on the National Registry of Historic Buildings. The property recently acquired a Civil War historic marker for the local area and a section of track and historic caboose.Come see the model train and nostalgic photos of an era that has all but vanished.

Blanchard Springs Caverns
Blanchard Springs Caverns -- A set of three caves operated by the National Forest Service. The Dripstone Trail Tour is open year round and allows wheelchairs and strollers on it's path. The Discovery Trail is open only in the summer and has over 700 steps. Mountain View, AR
Mountain View - Known as the Folk Music Capital of the World, offers great entertainment, from the summer folk music on the town square, crafts, ironworks, and The Ozark Folk Center. The Center is a State Park that keeps alive the traditions of the 1800s. The Folk Center is always a favorite stop for the kids on Arkansas family getaways. Mountain View also includes The Jimmy Driftwood Folk Music Hall of Fame. Driftwood is famous for writing The Battle of New Orleans to help his students learn about the War of 1812 in Snowball, Ark; located just minutes from Bear Creek Log Cabins.
Bull Shoals Lake
Bull Shoals Lake A 71,000 acre lake located near Mountain Home crosses the border of Missouri and Arkansas. It offers a great fishing reservoir and other water fun. Bull Shoals is also home to a fine golf course.
White River
The White River --Below the Bull Shoals Dam, the famous White River has great trout fishing and white water canoeing. The Rainbow, German brown, cutthroat and brook trout species are found in the cold water of the White River below the Dam. Many guides are available to take you down the river.

Greers Ferry Lake -- A 40,000 acre lake located southeast of Bear Creek Log Cabins offers more great lake fishing.
Fairfield Bay, AR
Fairfield Bay -- Resort Community with two golf courses along with miniature golf AND marina facilities.
Check out the tennis courts and 72 par golf course at Fairfield Bay. The Mountain Ranch Golf Course clubhouse and fully stocked golf shop meet every golfing need. They offer an expansive practice range and Golf Clinics by our PGA Professionals.

The City of Harrison Convention & Visitors Bureau -- Located a short drive north of Bear Creek Log Cabins, Harrison, AR is one of the major cities in the Ozarks. Harrison includes the historical Hotel Seville, Main Street Harrison's Walking Tour, The Historic Lyric Theater, the Boone County Museum and the Harrison Country Club and Golf Course. There are also many restaurants, Wal Mart and other stores including beer, wine, and liquor stores.

CRYSTAL BRIDGES, Bentonville, AR
Crystal Bridges -- A great day trip from Bear Creek Log Cabins. The Bentonville, Rogers, and Fayetteville area are becoming cities to visit in the Ozarks. The area boasts being home to the Arkansas Razorbacks, famous Rick's Bakery, The Walton's Arts Center, but the new jewel to their crown is Crystal Bridges, a world class museum with walking paths all around.
Eureka Springs, Arkansas
Eureka Springs, -- Located near the start of the White River, Eureka Springs, AR is a great place to enjoy an historic small town in the Ozarks. You'll want to walk the nostalgic streets with shops galore, explore nearby caverns. Eureka Springs has been an Arkansas family getaway destination for over 100 years!
Great Passion Play

Coursey Smokehouse -- Located near Ferguson's Restaurant, this small store sells take-out smoked meats and jerkey. Located on Highway 65.
Skylark Cafe -- A little bit of everything! Known for their homemade desserts! All your favorites served in a unique setting in Leslie. Look for the hand painted sign in the heart of town.
